Market Poultry Rules
- Broilers are to be shown as a pen of three (3).
- Broilers will be Commercial Breed, all on the same hatch date to be
ordered through the Hays County Livestock Board of Directors in increments
of 50 chicks per family. County Agent and Vo Ag Advisors will coordinate.
- There will be a Grand Champion and Reserve Champion "Pen of
Three" Broilers.
- All poultry will be sifted at check-in.
- Turkeys will be shown as singles.
- Turkeys will be Commercial Breed, all on the same hatch to be ordered
through the Hays County Livestock Board of Directors in increments of 5 with
a minimum order of 5 per exhibitor.
- Turkeys will be divided into two classes (Hens & Toms).
- There will be a Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Turkey. lst (First)
Place Hen and lst (First) Place Tom will compete for Grand Champion and
Reserve Champion Turkey of the Show.
